Drone restrictions lifted for Jamestown and Rupert's - 1 July 2020
Following the completion of the helicopter operations in Jamestown and Rupert’s, the restriction on using a drone in these areas has been lifted. The drone user community is thanked for their patience and cooperation during this period.
The drone user community is respectively reminded that regardless of whether any flights are taking place, permission from the Airport is still required when conducting flights in the amber zone (see https://sthelenaairport.com/…/up…/2017/01/Drone-Zones-Map.jpg for more details). This zone forms part of the Air Traffic Controlled Zone and therefore all drone flights conducted in this area must be approved by the Airport prior to flight.
