About St Helena Airport Limited (SHAL)
St Helena Airport Limited (SHAL) is a wholly-owned operating company of St Helena Government (SHG). SHAL was formed in October 2018 and is the operator of St Helena Airport.
SHAL has a small team of approximately 30 permanent staff who together ensure safe and secure aviation operations are conducted at the airport. SHAL is supported by sub-contractors for Air Traffic Control (ATNS), meteorological forecasting (the UK Met Office) and ramp/security operations (Solomon and Company (St Helena) Plc), as well as other companies who assist with fuels and maintenance.

Our Mission is to provide safe, reliable and efficient airport operations for Saint Helena. Our priority is to remain compliant with relevant regulatory requirements taking into consideration our passengers, stakeholders and the environment, always striving for a personal and positive memorable experience.
