On 10 June 2021, the St Helena Government announced a number of changes to the entry restrictions and processes put in place to counter the threat of COVID-19 to the Island’s small population. These changes come into effect from 21 June 2021:
- The current quarantine period of 14 days will be reduced to 10 days
- Passengers will continue to undergo a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at St Helena Airport, and on their last day of quarantine
- A negative PCR test within 72 hours of planned arrival to St Helena will still be required
- Passengers transiting between St Helena and Ascension Island will continue to be exempted from quarantine as long as they have been on either Island for more than 14 days prior to travel.
