Monday 19 August 2019 marks 50 years since the formation of Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer.  Almost 48 years later to the day, St Helena Airport welcomed its first Embraer aircraft (the E190) as a precursor to the commencement of a scheduled air service to St Helena in October 2017.

The Embraer E190 aircraft flown by Airlink continues to provide an essential link to and from St Helena Island and is well suited to the route and the airport.

St Helena Airport Limited is pleased to wish Embraer a happy anninversary and continues to warmly welcome their products to the airport and to the Island.
