St Helena Airport Limited (SHAL) is therefore pleased to present its annual audit for 2019/20.  It shows improved levels of performance since the previous audit;  although some non-compliances exist, many of the outstanding issues identified in this audit as being non-compliant were due to circumstances outside of  SHAL’s control.

Nevertheless, the auditor was very complimentary about SHAL’s performance, and commented: “Airport staff responsible for environmental management have demonstrated a high level of commitment and enthusiasm for managing the environment at the Airport in a proactive and positive manner”.

SHAL remains fully committed to prudent and conscientious environmental management to ensure it plays its part in securing the environment for this and all generations to come.
